Our quality of life depends on a safe community in our homes, schools, and local businesses. I advocate for a proactive approach AND zero tolerance for violent crime.

Public Safety is my top priority. I will work hard to protect our entire community in our homes, schools, and local businesses. I advocate a proactive approach that utilizes advanced technology, the most modern police practices, and zero tolerance for violent crime. A successful police and fire department will always be visible and accountable to the citizens. I will fight for more public safety staff to ensure the fastest response times on all emergency calls. The expansion of community watch and school resource officers in our schools will make our children safer. I have worked to control homelessness to prevent Dublin from having a serious problem. Dublin is a safe city; we cannot allow Dublin to become Oakland.
As Vice Mayor, I led the advocacy for making public safety our city's top priority, working closely with the community to achieve significant milestones, including:
Added crime technicians, deputies, and Behavioral Health personnel to our public safety team. Implemented new technologies to enhance deterrence and solve crimes, including establishing a Real-Time Crime Center. This center allows for quick, efficient responses, improving operational intelligence and community safety.
The City of Dublin continues to be one of the safest communities in the area due to the ongoing support and working relationship we have with the citizens we serve. Maintaining strong community partnerships is important as we continue to embrace Community-Oriented Policing as part of our organizational philosophy. We do our best to get out in the community at City festivals and events, including:
National Night Out: We engaged with approximately 1,000 residents across 30 neighborhoods to foster community-police relations and promote public safety.
Community Engagement: We participated in the Dublin Farmers’ Market, “Coffee with the Chief,” and other friendly presence at local events to maintain strong community connections.

Without a strong business community, Dublin will not have the resources to provide the best services to our residents. It is not good enough to say we want tech and clean jobs; I have a plan to bring those jobs and more to our city. During my time on the city council we have brought many high quality businesses to our city. Infrastructure is necessary to secure these local jobs and opportunities to continue strengthening our community. As an engineer in the tech industry and a small business owner, I understand first-hand how we ought to support both new and existing businesses.
Business Recovery and Support: We executed the Business Recovery Playbook to aid post-pandemic recovery for all of our businesses. We also launched the Small Business Navigator Program and the Dublin Marketplace loyalty rewards program to stimulate local commerce. We are continuing these efforts to ensure Dublin is an excellent home for businesses of all sizes.
Business Engagement: We continued successful initiatives such as the Business Spotlight Series and the Small Business Webinar Series. We have also facilitated industry-specific roundtables, providing valuable resources and networking opportunities for local businesses.
New Businesses: Just last year alone, more than 100 new businesses started in our city. I am focused on continuing to bring high quality new businesses and jobs to Dublin.

One of my top priorities is ensuring Dublin’s budget and fiscal health remain strong. Over the past four years, as Vice Mayor and city councilmember, I have worked alongside city leaders and the community to enhance our city’s finances. In the latest financial budget meeting, I specifically advocated for increased funding for police services and school crossing guards, and addressed the growing needs of community sports and programs. These collective efforts have enabled us to invest in critical improvements while planning for the future. As Mayor, I will continue to work transparently with the community to safeguard Dublin’s financial health, setting us apart from the practices seen in some other cities.
As Vice Mayor, I am proud to have partnered with the community to strengthen Dublin’s finances and fiscal health, achieving milestones such as:
Balanced Budget: Completed Fiscal Year 2022-23 in a surplus position and prepared a balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24. This fiscal prudence ensures long-term financial stability. We were able to achieve a $120 million surplus and a large reserve under my leadership.
Excellence in Financial Reporting Received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), reflecting our commitment to transparency and accountability.

Our families enjoy working, studying, and living in Dublin. I plan to continue improving our very high quality of life. Our parks and open space is a gleaming gem, supporting a high-quality lifestyle for families here. As your leader, I will ensure we continually improve our infrastructure, parks, and public services and meet our evolving communities' growing and changing needs. We also will reduce traffic in Dublin.
As Vice Mayor, I am proud to have improved our high quality of life with many projects, working alongside city leaders and the community over the past four years. Together, we have accomplished significant milestones, including:
New Facilities: We broke ground on the Dublin Arts Center, Wallis Ranch Community Park, Iron Horse Trail Bridge, and Iron Horse Nature Park. These projects are pivotal in providing recreational and cultural amenities to our residents.
Downtown Development: We amended the Downtown Dublin Specific Plan to realize the Downtown Preferred Vision, driving the revitalization of our downtown area. We approved development applications for significant projects like The DC project, aligning with my vision for a thriving, safe downtown.
Grand Openings: We oversaw the grand openings of Don Biddle Community Park and the St. Patrick Way - Road Extension Project, further enhancing our community spaces and connectivity. I oversaw the completion of key projects like Don Biddle Community Park and Fallon Sports Park – Phase 3.
Public Art Initiatives: We continued the Utility Box Painting Public Art Project and implemented temporary public art programs, enhancing the cultural landscape of Dublin.

I am a strong advocate for high-quality public education. It is important that the City and Dublin School District work together to achieve the best educational experience possible for students and parents. I pledge to collaborate fully with Dublin schools for the betterment of all. I founded ABLE, an organization focused on teaching our students leadership along with providing high quality volunteer and educational experiences for all. We need a united City of Dublin; we all represent the same people! We can do better, and as your leader, I will make that happen by collaborating closely with our school leaders.

Dublin is near build-out; any increase in growth in the community must be done in a sustainable manner. I pledge to protect our parks and open spaces that make our community unique. I will encourage more job opportunities with incentives for smart growth and high-paying jobs. I will work with our city and county leaders to find solutions to make our commutes and day-to-day lives more efficient, pleasant, and environmentally friendly. All residents regardless of their age or economic status should be able to easily travel around our community. I will continue to upgrade our city streets to make commutes quicker and safer.
As Vice Mayor, I am proud to have improved Dublin’s environment and transit with policies including:
Reducing Traffic: We continued planning and construction on major projects such as the Tassajara Road Improvements, the Village Parkway Reconstruction, the Dublin Boulevard Extension and many improvements to existing streets.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan: We completed the Dublin Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, promoting safer and more attractive options for biking and walking for all ages.
Climate Action Plan: We advanced the City’s Climate Action Plan 2030 and Beyond, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2045. Implemented citywide energy improvements, including solar panels and LED lighting retrofits, enhancing our sustainability efforts along with lowering costs.
